Quick sense check of new setup

Folks - Just wanting someone to quickly sense check the below as I get equipment ordered and get rolling

Use case - Football primarily only. English premier league, champions league and as much footy as possible. French/La Liga/Seria A would be great to watch also
Location - UK, Midlands. Zero interest/requirement if the commentary on matches is English, looking to get best possible feed or quality avail

Setup
Aiming for a ground mounted 1.1ish motorised dish

I have two tv's downstairs - two sep rooms. Only ever be me watching sat, so unlikely we would have two of us watching different channels at the same time etc.

Box
2 x viark 4k UHD boxes for the two rooms
Anything I've missed or does this 'basic' list sound good for use cases / have I missed anything?

Trawl facebook maketplace for a triax 1.1m dish with motor. Come up all the time in my area.

You could have both boxes controlling the motor with a simple dc splitter, one box has to be powered down for this.

Thanks Ferret - that's the perfect scenario then... flexibility of two boxes in either room, and control motor with whatever box I'm using at the time providing the other is switched off

You need an internet connection available to both boxes. They do come with a wireless dongles but if you can hardwire them either by cable or homeplugs do so.

thanks, bud. Router is nicely in the middle of both rooms so can run a cable to both relatively easy.

Looks like we are all set.....!
Any advantage at all of having one viark and one gtmedia? or do they effectively do the exact same thing and no real upside?

Feel the Viark's are better supported and they come with 3 years sub reduced to 2 years when you convert to SP1. So there is no need to go looking around giving payment details to some dodgy chap.

If ground mounted set it up yourself, easily done and loads of support on here.

cheers gents - all aligned on a 1.1/2 ground mounted motor, will grab two viarks and ready to rock and roll. Happy to convert to sp1 and continue to extend when it's renewal time

If only you will ever be watching sat, why the need for 2 viarks ?

Surely you just put one in the room that will be free most often for you to watch football in ?

My mate had a wife that said no ya not. 1meter dish huge garden.

So we installed it in front of a conifer hedge, then sprayed it green. Took her just over a week to notice.

Not when you realise there's a 3-4 second delay on channel changes on nds channels
