qbox very bad reciever

this box is getting slowly better - still a lot more to do though. bought mine in may 2009 and i had real problems with the cable tuner (constant crashes) and scannning, eg using the cable tuner and missing most of the channels on astra 23.5E.
however, with the latest firmware from HDfreaks things start to work. oscam has a stable connection to my cccam server, scanning is better, media player works (haven't checked all the file formats), streaming from stb to pc using web interface is fine and even youtube is ok (search function is awful).
on the negative side changing channels is slow; i've no idea how to stop a film playing in the media player and the build quality of the casing is really bad especially for a box of this price (pcb is ok).

i had the same problem with you ... the media player once start play n video file ,the only way to stop is e2 restart ...my problem solved with the Latest Stone Distribution FileSystem version 1.02 – 03/10/2010 ..now is working perfect...

I agree with all those frustrated people about the performences of this box.No matter what you put in,FD,SD 1.00,1.02,1.04,OSCAM.....you will never get a regular work from it.before it was a radar that at last could deal with cccam,now it's no more radar but oscam that sometimes works sometimes not.a real puzzle box and I'm fed up with it!19 monthes suffering since I bought it believing in its marketing lies...
Now,I'm using a drembox 800hd that works much better and you can enjoy almost all emus,zap on ,etc and watch hd channels in satisfactory manner. OUF,OUF.

I am sorry that you think maybe this is missing a great supporter to solve some problems in this decoder now many of us are happy with stone and oscam .I can help you with this

the picture still with pixels even when the signal is high( 99% and 91%) using OSCAM 3714 !!! the radar 420 isn't as good as it was on 412.

sell the qbox and be happy !
and...oscam and radar has nothing to do with duolabs
and the qbox.
if you want use oscam or radar you have to look which
receiver works with it before you buy a box...and not after.
and the picture is very, very good for me.
perhaps your equipment (dish, cable, switch etc.)
are not good.

the picture quality is ok but i´ve definately seen better, eg. spiderbox or azbox.
regarding softcams, radar is only for the qbox so no point looking at other receivers. oscam seems to work ok although i get the impression it´s a bit slow.
talking of slow, the qbox hd is slowly getting better. it´s not the best stb but finally it´s starts to be usable. and, it´s about time too. i bought mine 18 months ago and only now is it doing what was promised when i bought it.

oscam is definately not duolabs. about radar i´m not so sure. radar seems to follow diablo 2 cam developments and that gets me thinking....
duolabs promised many things when they first released this receiver and only 18 months later do these promises start to come true. compare that to the dm8000 which went through rigorous testing before being released... there is a law in the eu which states that a product should be fit for its purpose and the qbox hd was certainly not! ok now it starts to be but that means i had to unpack my qbox after 18 months before i could really start to use it

The Qbox hd Hardware configuration parts are very good, the only problem is software, I believe they do not have the right support group for it yet. or they are doing this in purpose, afraid of cloning their box or maybe they are waiting for people like Gemini group to help them with their box.
we don't purchase fta reciever doulbas know that there's no enough support or advancement in doulbas i bought qbox hd
