Problems with dm500s reception

Hi All

I am having problems with my dm 500s clone, no picture

It has been working fine for about 4 years, when I started having problems with reception which caused me to mess up the dish and motor setup.

So I am trying to start again by setting the motor to 0 then moving to Thor, using transponder
11862H I am getting the following levels

SNR = 98

ACR = 85

BER = 0

Both lock and sync have a green tick next to them

The EPG shows what is on the channel but I am getting no picture or sound::mecry:


Why am I getting no picture?????

I am still using the original image I setup 4 years ago which I do not know the name of, it shows GP on the screen when box turned on.

I have a 1m dish and a Stab HH120 motor

Have you tried various channels ? Is the channel encrypted ?

Does the epg confirm a listing for the channel you think you on as it could be possible you looking at another sat position.

I have tried various channels including BBC Entertainment which I believe is FTA.

How do I find the EPG for channels on Thor?

Just wanted to check even though I have lock and sinc ticked I could still be pointing at the wrong satellite?

You mention you had a epg !

Yeah could still be on the wrong sat mate if the frequencies match.

Why not do a manual scan what channels it finds could give you a indication of the sat your dish is looking at.
