I try to format CF card but it does not want. When I try with FlashWizard the program don t find it-CF card. I also try to flash again, also with flash eraze image and nothing.

When I go to Format on DM and with Flash wizard - just tell me
Unable the format and unmount cf card.

Is there any other solution. I have compatible CF card.

I have directory /HDD but i don t have any hdd in ther. There are some epg data.
There is also directory /CF but is empty ...

Any solution...

I am not 100% shure about CF card, but for dreambox hard disc for example, you have to format in FAT32 mode, and windows allways offer you NTFS.

The fact is , that not all CF cards can be used.
Only the cards that can be identified with internal IDs.
The best example , perhaps, is Lexar. I use two of them with no
problem.

CF-Card 256MB Traxdata 52x
CF-Card 512MB Traxdata 52x
CF-Card 1.00GB Traxdata 52x
CF-Card 2.00GB Traxdata 52x
CF-Card 4.00GB Traxdata 52x

LEXAR 256MB 40X WA High Speed Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 512MB 40X WA High Speed Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 1.00GB 40X WA High Speed Compact Flash Card

LEXAR 512MB 40X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 1.00GB 40X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 2.00GB 40X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 4.00GB 40X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 8.00GB 40X WA Professional Compact Flash Card

LEXAR 512MB 80X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 1.00GB 80X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 2.00GB 80X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 4.00GB 80X WA Professional Compact Flash Card
LEXAR 8.00GB 80X WA Professional Compact Flash Card

I have CF-Card 512MB Traxdata 52x and i try to flash on gemini and edg nemesis image and nothing. I flash boxman image without cf card then put cf card and my flash wizard does not recognize a card. I also try; when i put image on usb, then try to formated on dreambox.I try several times. I also use flash eraze image...I see some debug also...input/output error

Maybe is broken my dreambox. Is there any option on telnet to wake up cf card.

1. If you have HDD installed, remove it first
2. If you have an option to format your CF Card on another Linux /Unix computer , try to format it as disk (or single partition ) with ext3 file system
3. BOXMAN images are good , but I found that my DB7020 ( actually I have two of them ) "like" some of them but not all, so currently I am running OoZooN-CVS-dm7020-20071225.nfi
4. I strongly recommend you to reformat CF card inside Linux PC and try to use it in your DB7020 after.
5. If you have an extra Lexar CF card , better use it.
6. If you are still having a trouble to "see" your CF card,
most likely it is the trouble with it , not with DreamBox.

PS. I've done number of installation of DB7020 and have to say that never had a trouble with Lexar CF cards.

It should not be a big difference between 7000 and 7020.
The difference between them is power supply and amount of RAM.
The rest is the same. You have to have 220V in your power grid , or use
transformer 110/220V.
In both cases multiboot images are on CF card.
Any way , did you have a chance to format CF Card inside Linux PC ?
