I have a TM 5402 receiver that I have not mastered may be wrong, but I found that when I do a live recording (with the red button) it is not unusual that it stops after ~ 40mm or ~ 1:30. In this pvr on a HDD formatted fat 32. Y is there a signal in order that interferes with PVR recording.
I am in patch 107 (which lasted very little time to report Cristor it is still OK)
