Prime-focus dish - LNB recommendation

Lately I bought a 1.8m prime-focus dish and now I would like to know what are the best LNBs I can use for feed reception here in Europe? I would like to be able to receive both Ku-band and C-band signals.

What about Invacom C120 .vs Inverto Black Pro C120 LNBs in combination with Invacom ADF-120 Adjustable Feedhorn? Anyone tested performance of both variants?

@barney115 Please, can you check your signal for these feeds?

7e
10964 H 14400
10982 H 14400
10964 V 14400
10982 V 14400

Since you have IBP C120 Quad + ADF-120 Adjustable Feedhorn on 2m prime-focus dish, I would like to get some sense how it would perform on my 1.8m prime-focus dish.

Those Freq's For Intl' football all come in at 10.7db - 11.3db
anything that is above 9.3db will run fine without picture pixel .
i have found a happy setup without issues adding the Scaler rings on my Feedhorn makes all the difference
it adds an extra 2db - 3db signal gain which might not seem much but overall i do not suffer a lot of signal problems
only when gusty winds in combo with Rain does affect signals but that is same with any and every dish i ever had : )

What about scaler rings, what type do you use? Where can I buy it?

Thank you. (y)

Is it possible to see how it looks on the dish?

Anyway, I wanted to order Invacom Quad C120 LNB but it seems nobody sells it because they stopped producing it. Do you or anyone else know where to buy a new one? Alternatively Inverto Quad (it needs to be Quad), but I have read some comments that it gives an optimal signal only on one output. I wonder if that's true, probably you can say something about that.

Well i just saw a picture that was uploaded some time ago by @RimaNTSS
where he took a normal LNB and converted it with a CM Feedhorn it was a D.I.Y job yes but i have to say that guy is a total genius , and i know our fellow Feedhunter @satesco has done very similar too and their signals are way beyond what i can achieve .

Indeed Quad Invacom i cant find anywhere either but it was .3db so the gain from it was nothing special
it might be worth messaging @RimaNTSS as i think he could make up a Quad LNB conversion suitable for your needs
and im certain it'd be much better than anything you can buy from any online shops too : )

Well, I can't message anyone on this forum but I hope @RimaNTSS will see this post and perhaps contact me. I'm really interested in such experiments and I appreciate every additional db. For now I use just IBU on my prime-focus dish and signal is surprisingly good taking into account that it's used for offset dishes. But in my country I can't find new LNBs for prime-focus dishes so this was a forced temporary solution.

There are C120 quad and Octo LNB's for sale on eBay that are conversions from a 40mm collar LNBF into a C120 flange LNB
Seller uses Inverto's for the conversion and ships worldwide from Spain.

Hi guys, thanks for the good words. I think you are thinking too good about my abilities. Anyway, for PFA, even I do not like multifeeds (on not multifocus antennas, and especially PFAs), I would prefer multifeed solution C+Ku instead of combo LNB. Once I had combo LNB but did not like as it performed. One of the best Ku-band LNBs for PFA IMHO is GI-209P. It is very cheap but works just great.
There are couple of pictures of what I mean.

Thank you for sharing these photos with us. For me it's not mandatory to be able to receive both bands, Ku is priority so all I want is a maximal possible signal for Ku on my dish. Have you done some numerical tests with GI-209P and IBU flange?

With IBU conversion, you can never be sure that the result will be the same and, more importantly, perfect. In addition, you will need to find the matching feedhorn and do not forget to make all the connections watertight.
On another hand, GI-209P is a factory made LNBF (integrated feedhorn), it already has everything and works out of the box. So, I would advise you to get GI-209P, install it on your dish properly and be happy feedhunting.
No, I do not have numerical tests between GI-209P and flanged IBU, but I have feelings that results will be more or less the same.

That is simply incredible work those Inverto Black Ultra and Premium LNBs converted to flanges are next level
i could only dream of having such a great converted / modded LNB Flange on my 2meter Prime focus
its ideas like that is why i will never achieve such great signals i can only imagine that IBU Flange + My Scaler rings what a huge extra boost in signal that would be .
those are the impressive pictures i speak about ...Genius ! : )
Thanks @RimaNTSS for taking the time to post on this topic your work is seriously impressive .

I have some of the C120 converted LNB's here from "Rima..."

He has fabricated quite a few pieces of satellite hardware for me over the years and every time his work has been top class.
Items he has made for me include stainless steel adjustable feed support arms, multi purpose stainless steel feed holders for C-Band and Ku-Band and converted C120 LNB's for circular polarity.

I have no hesitation in recommending "Rima..." to anyone needing customisation or fabrication of satellite hardware.

I wonder whether they ship items to other countries or not. I will ask, thanks anyway.

However, I need LNB with at least 4 outputs, What would you recommend in that case?
