Powervu Emulation Question???

Oscam with Osemu or patched Oscam-emu works fine on my box.
I also think it works on a PC with a DVB-card and a powervu plugin. I have not tested it myself so I don't know.
Not sure if some other softcam works with powervu.

I have a dreambox 800 and with oscam emu and a pc emulator with a computer dvb-s2 card both working really well without stream relay …
Are there other emulators that support powervu for receivers without streamrelay?
I still don’t understand as to why only dreamboxes can receive without stream relay where all other receivers have to stream relay if using oscam…
I understand that dreambox has CSA and DES decryption enabled … but why these new powerfull 4K receivers can’t decode directly like the computer emulation?
I am no expert in enigma2 but one would think that if there is a computer emulator one could build one for the receiver as well…

As far as I know most recievers do not have drivers for DES, only CSA. Maybe some of these boxes have hardware support for DES but we don't know.
It might be possible to emulate DES without stream relay, I have no clue.

The fact new 4k boxes have a relatively powerful CPU means nothing regarding what the firmware have access to.
If there is a DES decoder and you cannot access it,is the same as no decoder at all.
When they sell the chip,there is an understanding about its use.And there are licenses to pay depending on its use.
Everyone pays for a CSA decoder since is mostly a standard,but as DES is not,think about which companies use DES : directv,powervu.....and you might not think on any other.....
