Platform n still on track

The Polish DTH platform n ended the second quarter with 826,000 post-paid subscribers and is on track to reach 900,000 by the end of the year.
Its subscriber base was 13% higher than 12 months earlier, while ARPU was, at PLN60.0 (€14.6 million), 4.5% up year-on-year and the highest ever since the company’s launch.
The pre-paid platform TNK meanwhile had 256,000 SD customers at the end of Q2, down by 8% on the same period last year, but its HD customer total increase 10-fold to 40,000 over the same period.
Pre-paid ARPU for the SD offer in Q2 amounted to PLN12.5, while for HD it stood at PLN23.2.
Revenues in the pay-TV segment amounted to PLN180 million in Q2 (+19% year-on-year), while reported pay-TV EBITDA rose from PLN1 million to PLN7 million over the same period.
Both n and TNK are operated by the national commercial broadcaster TVN, which saw its overall revenues grow by 10% year-on-year in the second quarter to PLN724 million.
