A dispute has broken out in Romania between RCS&RDS, the country’s leading cable and DTH operator, and vplay.ro, a site that gives viewers access to illegal video content.
ZF reports that RCS&RDS has blocked access to the site, prompting protests from its subscribers, who have threatened to move to other providers such as UPC and Romtelecom.
Vplay.ro is the eighth most visited site in Romania and has asked its users to contact RCS&RDS for explanations as to its actions.
