Pink exits Serbian cable

The Serbian commercial broadcaster Pink International has stopped distributing its channels via cable in Serbia and requested a licence to do so in Bosnia & Herzegovina (B&H).
According to Balkan Insight, this follows a decision by the Serbian Broadcasting Authority (RRA) to revoke Pink’s licence to distribute 68 of its channels via cable before it expired on the company’s request.
Distributing channels via cable is cheaper in B&H and its regulator RAK has already granted licences to 20 Pink channels.
Importantly, Pink will not lose viewers in Serbia as cable channels from the region do not require special permits from domestic regulators.
