Oscam - Tandberg - VUDUO problem

Has anyone got Tandberg clearing with oscam and a vuduo?

I have installed the oscam for openpli via the receiver plugins menu. I have overwritten the oscam file with the one on this board.

I have placed keys in a key file but nothing clears.

In fact, the VUDUO is reporting Tandberg transmissions as FTA.

Any help would be gratefully received. :D

Yes!

I'm using a Vu+ Duo 2, Openpli and this version of Oscam:

http://www.sat-universe.com/showpost...&postcount=454

oscam_1.20-rev-11272-Pli-4.0-emu.rar

Have you added CAID 1010 to oscam.user and oscam.server? And CAID:pROVIDER to oscam server?

Maybe you could post some oscam log.

No, I have not added those Caids.

I will check the files.

That link just takes me to the front page of sat-universe.

OK, I now have correct oscam installed.

What exactly must I add to oscam.usr and oscam.server?

I am not very experienced with using oscam except for Biss.

If you don't already have "protocol=emu" in your osacm.server, add the lines below. If you do have "protocol=emu", add ",1010" (without the quotes) to the end of the caid line and add ";1010,000000" (also without the quotes) tothe end of the ident line.

In both cases, you need to set the 000000 to be the correct provider for the channel you want to open.

[reader]
label = oscam_emu
protocol = emu
device = Emulator
caid = 1010
detect = cd
ident = 1010:000000
group = 1
emmcache = 2,2,2,0

To your oscam.user file, make sure you have "1010" in the caid line (preced with "," if appending.

[account]
user = localuser
pwd =
group = 1
au = oscam_emu
caid = 1010

Thanks...

I will do this.

Ok, I have done this and still not clearing.

I am going to remove all signs of oscam from my vuduo and start again.

By the way......

In my vuduo using OpenPli4 the oscam config files are in..........

etc/tuxbox/config/oscam.

Does that make a difference?

Thanks for your help, even if I don't get it6 working. :D

Yes, that's the default place.

Also your SoftCam.Key (note correct spelling) should be there too.

If still no luck, post an oscam log file and your oscam config files.

Not 'oscam.keys' as was the case with my previous source of keys for oscam?

Got to go out so will try again tomorrow.

Not 'oscam.keys'

Quote from oscam-emu readme:

Key file ("SoftCam.Key"):
OSCam-emu does not require, but will make use of "SoftCam.Key" if available.
"SoftCam.Key" is searched in the oscam config folder (where oscam.conf is located) and also in "/var/keys".

Still not clearing. :(

I have followed your advice to the letter as far as I can see and still not clearing.

I installed oscam from the Openpli4 plugins menu.
Then overwrite the oscam file in usr/bin.

Then followed your advice as above.

I am really baffled. It is probably something so simple I am not seeing.

Where will I find oscam.log?

You need to set it up in oscam.conf:
[global]
logfile = stdout;/tmp/oscam.log
initial_debuglevel = 64
nice = -1
preferlocalcards = 1
emmlogdir = /tmp

The log file will then be /tmp/oscam.log

While you're at it, check if you have the web interface set up, also in oscam.conf, e.g.:

[webif]
httpport = 5555
httpuser = dog
httppwd = man
httpallowed = 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.255

which assumes that your LAN is 192.168.1.xxx

Then point a browser at <your Vu IP address>:5555

There is Live Log tab which should tell you what's going on. Tune to an FTA channel to minimize ouput then start oscam, browse to the webif and see what it's telling you. Make sure it can find all the config files. Then switch to a Tandberg channel and again look at the webif.

If you can't deduce anything obvious from that, post the log from the tmp folder.

This is what I currently have in oscam.conf.......

[global]
disablelog = 1
disableuserfile = 1
usrfileflag = 0
maxlogsize = 10
preferlocalcards = 1
saveinithistory = 1
lb_mode = 0
unlock_parental = 1

[cs378x]
port = 12005

[webif]
httpport = 8081
httpallowed = 10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255,172.16.0.0-172.31.255.255,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255,127.0.0.1

[dvbapi]
enabled = 1
pmt_mode = 6
au = 1
user = dvbapiau
boxtype = dreambox

OK, to get the log running, set disablelog = 0 and add
logfile = stdout;/tmp/oscam.log
initial_debuglevel = 64
to the [global] section.

Might be worth making the [dvbapi] user to be the same as the user specified in oscam.user

And you can connect to the webif by browsing to:
<your Vu IP address>:8081
No password required.
