oscam tangberg

go to your image addons and install oscam not oscamymod just oscam
reboot dreambox

you will have files in each of the directories

usr/bin
usr/script
var/tuxbox/config

find oscam in usr/bin and give it 755 attribute press ok

find oscam_em.sh file in usr/script give it 755 attribute
press ok

find the config folder var/tuxbox/ and give it 644 attribute

reboot dreambox

download oscam_1.20-rev-11273-oe1.6-emu.rar from the site to your pc

extract and ftp the oscam file to usr/bin then rename it to the same as your current file (so if your existing file is oscam svn 10627 rename the new downloaded file oscam svn 10627 (you will have 2 oscam files in usr/bin when you first ftp or maybe one if named just oscam, make a note of existing then delete existing the rename the new oscam file to what the old was.

set attributes to as above if different

in var/tuxbox/config there is a file called oscam.server
this will need editing or just replace with txt below

your softcam keys go in usr/keys or var/tuxbox/config

if you already have a oscam installed maybe you could just edit
the oscam.server?

to check to see if the new file is installed correctly
type in your web browser
your dreambox i.p:16402
this is the oscam webinterface and the version will be as downloaded i.e 11273 even though on dreambox it states the old

copy and paste to below txt to .. oscam.server

Somebody fixed somthing on the 23rd of October, donno if it's the oscam fix for Director. I haven't managed to successfully compile oscam for my box yet so i have no idea if it works.

Easiest way currently is to connect to v-plug server with the cccam os camd35 protocols.

is there even a dummy guys to compile oscam, last time i tried it it says you need linux to do it, surely there must be a windows equivalent

I have a linux PC. I have tried numerous times to cross compile oscam and it almost always fails miserably. the created binary just does not run on my boxes.

I've not had much success using the EMu patch for a version to run on my server, where as compiling just a straight vanilla oscam works just fine.

Something strange is happening...Oscam is opencource emulator and anyone with coding skills can edit it and compile it, but still no support for Tandberg new security, but Vplug is not opensource and it's abandoned project long time ago but it has support.

Looks like yet another win for Windows vs Linux systems. As for the other apps way much better support for Win apps...linux sucks and we all know it from beginning!
