One in ten North Americans watch BBTV on YouTube

Canada's BroadbandTV (BBTV) has added 332 million new monthly impressions to its network as of July 2014, reaching 2.4 billion monthly views on YouTube.

That means that one in ten North Americans online watches at least one BBTV video per month, based on total numbers within comScore's latest report.

"We're thrilled to be on this trajectory as our global content creator community resonates with a rapidly growing audience," said Shahrzad Rafati, founder and CEO at BroadbandTV. "Our focus remains steadfast on accelerated growth, providing best-in-class services and building the most innovative tools and technologies available for our diverse content publisher community."

The company currently operates the third-largest multichannel network on YouTube globally and boasts over 20,000 partners. BBTV's proprietary VISO Catalyst technology has also surpassed 10,000 users and is growing rapidly with double-digit percentage monthly growth rates, it said.

In June 2013, the leading European entertainment network RTL Group acquired a majority stake in BBTV. Both companies also formed an on-going strategic partnership to accelerate the global growth strategy of BBTV. RTL Group's initial investment of $36 million is part of a planned series of investments in the company.
