Octagon SX88 V2 - some basic questions

I would be grateful for advice on some features of the SX88 V2. Unfortunately, there is no manual, so I'm puzzled.

1. Favourites - when I'm watching a channel, there is an oblong box on the lower right of the screen, coloured blue. If I press on the blue button on the remote....nothing happens. How can I set up a favourites list of channels?

2. On the remote there is white button, labelled "SAT". I had hoped this would bring up a list satellites but when I press it, while watching a programme, nothing happens. What is the function of this button?

3. Delete satellites? I've scanned in a lot of satellites. Some I can't receive well. Is there a funtcion to delete them?

4. There is a coloured LED glowing brighly on the box. A real nuisance near the TV. Is there a way of switching it off?

Many thanks in advance.

1. Why not use a channel list with favourites setup already. I recommend sat-an settings. To bring up favourites, press ok button to bring up main list then blue button. To make favourite, you be better using a PC based program DreamBoxEdit for example. To make you own on the box while you in the menu channel list press the menu button for options needed.

3. Press ok to bring up channel list then green button for sat higlight sat to delete and press menu button for options.

4. Put a piece of black insulation tape over it. There may be options under menu setup to dim it.

When you say you have scanned in lots of satellites do you now mean you have your dish moving or that you have downloaded a channel list that has lots of satellites in the list? This is what we were helping you do the other day. To access other satellites press the ok button on the remote followed by the arrow up key. This will bring up a list of channels then press the green button this should bring the other satellites in the list. Scroll up and down using the up and down arrows to select the satellite you wish to send the dish to.

Some of the satellites have few channels, some have none. On my old Technomate I could simply delete an unwanted satellite. I was wondering whether I
could do the same with the Octagon SX88.

I'm still intrigued by the SATS button on the remote. It does nothing at all!

When you to the shut down page on the receiver where you can put it into deep standby. Does it give you an option to boot to android another option. Reading up it could be another box like the dual.

1, yes, in e2 it is also possible to delete the entire satellite
2, the SATS button works in DefineOS, in e2 you have to define a function for it if you want to use it

SX88v2 only boot Enigma2 and DefineOS
Android is only available for the SPIRIT model

Hi I have just purchased a SX88 v2 and l have setup the enigma2, but would like to try configuring the Define OS side to use the oscam, biss keys for Satback
I can see that there is a Oscam configuration on the box (via usb) with all the settings however l am not sure how to access them. Looked on some other forums as well which suggested a "sectet menu code 6363" but not sure how to activate the menu.

Any guidane would be welcome
