No card inserted!

Hi guys,

I've been using my Vu+ Duo for nearly 1 year now and its been great so far - but I have a strange problem that I hope you can help me with.

My $ky card is not being recognised anymore. I'm using Blackhole and Ccam 2.3. I'm not sure if its something I've done wrong or not. My boxkey settings are fine. Its more that either the card reader isn't working or isn't being recognised - or maybe the card itself.

When I go into ts panel and into the Ccam info and into Entitlements it says "No card inserted!". If I use the blue button I cannot see ccam as an option for the auto cam, only Common Interface - could this be the problem?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

make sure you have the card in the right slot & put the card in with the chip facing down .

Are you using sly 28.2 ?
Loads of users using none standard boxes/cardreaders/etc are having same problem.
if your card has not been in a official box for some time sly can kill your entitlement's if this is the
case you will have to call sly who will try to send you a new box to pair with..
Once you pair with the new box your card will only work with that box as the new pairing has a new security this is in a bid to stop CardS*aring.

Yeah the card is facing down ok.

Jamie - thats useful info. However would the card not just have the entitlements removed? Its like the card isn't recognised - I assumed Cccam would still be able to recognise the card as *** etc?

It could be a hardware/software issue On your Box side! Check Another Card?

but I have also Heard of card being killed don't ask me how but its happening all over!
Some think its a built in security on the cards like a fuse!
If a card hasn't been renewed for a long time it will blow the fuse and then the card is dead! this is happening when blocking ECM'S and renewing of the cards entitlements.
Some say that CS and third party boxes are ending soon but Who knows!

Switch CCcam on, Blue button Highlight Auto cam use left/right button to show CCcam

Adder - I used tspanel to install cccam 2.3 last year and it works fine in terms of channels clearing, however I don't have it as an option in the Blue panel - it just has Common Interface on that. Do you think that would be a problem? I'm not sure Cccam was ever available for me under that and cccam used to read the card and even my old blue card as a test used to be read with entitlements showing as 2009.

if you are using tspanel then it will be on the tspanel list not The BHpanel..

its also possible to cause problems when using tspanel you can install The wrong cccam for your Bh image there are also versions for tspanel! The best thing to do is install the BH versions and leave the Ts panel versions alone then things should then be ok.. If your cccam is showing up in tspanel but not under the BH panel then you have the tspanel version..
