Hi

Have just got a CubeRevo twin Tuner HD PVR. I have had previous experience with a technomate tm9100 – but the CubeRevo seems very different. I have some questions please
1) What is good image suitable for a newbie – I do want to be able to use CCcam & both card readers?
2) What is the best way of loading into flash – Can you load into flash from a USB stick ( similar to using booting with a SD card in the technomate)
3) What is the best way to install CCcam & where would I then find the .cfg file to edit? & where would I put the .piro file ?
Many thanks

Hiya & welcome :thum:

CCCam wont work with Cuberevo box -you can use incubus cam & connect to a cccam or other server-ie use your Technomate 9100 as your main resharing box

Due to software bugs the card readers are not working properly yet hopefully these will be sorted soon

As for images it depends on what you are using box for sat & cable -just sat

Try one of the DGS based images sifteam or NLB to start

Alot of folk are using Enigma 2 images which are similar to Dreambox images -these are fairly new & have software bugs which the teams involved have been working hard to fix

Use flashtools program to load flash image some E2 images can only be loaded onto USB stick due their size

Have a good read & anything your not sure about just ask

Hiya -download images/tools/settings for cuberevo/ipbox 9000HD

follow this link for flash version of E2 m8
http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=124500

Use this tool to load you E2 or other flash image
http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=63409

Install the lastest flash version of this to access emus, cams etc-although some functions such as picons wont work due to lack of space -they work ok on USB version-which you might want to try another day!
http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=123830

Also install these to save time on scanning channels & sats etc

Any questions just ask away

Thanks very much for all the info so far i have been tryinng to read as much as possible.

its the week end so time for a serious play with my new box

I do have one (no doubt silly) question
I have a CubeRevo twin Tuner HD PVR a number of posts seem to refer to the AB IPBox 9000HD are these the same boxes with different badges? can you use images / add ons from one on the other safely?

Many thanks

The Cuberevo box is the same one as IP Box 9000HD

The Cuberevo is made by DGS & IP Box 9000HD by AB Com

The Cuberevo mini is the same as IP Box 900HD. Both of these have single tuners instead of twin tuners

As long as image is the flash version for Cuberevo/IP Box 9000HD the new image will automatically write over the old flash image whether its Enigma 2, NLB or Sifteam

With flash versions of E2 you use a few of the addons, plugins etc where as the USB version you will be able to accesss full range of goodies, ie several different skins, picons, etc

If you want to play with USB version get a USB stick with minimum 2gb space, such as Sandisk

Have fun:)

After some false starts I now have loaded NLB9580 and have managed to get the incubus cam working

Next to see if I can get a card server to work

Cheers

Great reply, catseye, thx. :clapping: A couple of questions about your third remark:
1. I guess that a flash version just loads into flashmemory which is just a few Mb big? And a USB version is depending on the size of USB-memory and therefore more apps fits?
2. But if I have an internal HDD, can I load the image on the harddrive and boot from where instead of flashing the memory or work from USB? Or is there any downsides with this?
3. And if that is possible, should I use a flash version or a USB version image?
4. Is there any guide for this, other than this from K@lkov. I can´t get the menus working ok and only the original image is loading:

Many questions, sorry...

Thx in advance! /Nickepe

Hiya

Each image should say for flash, usb or HDD

To use either the USB version or HDD you would have to install a multiboot into box & select on start up the following on remote control (for example)
1= flash version 2= USb stick 3= HDD,etc,etc

Thats why advise you to play around with flash versions first m8 as adding multiboot isnt a straight forward task

With the flash E2 & arabbox extras there isnt that many things missing compared to USB version-You will be able to access cams & have a couple of skins to play with

Okidoi, thx!

Can I flash back to no-enigma2 image if I don´t like Enigma2?

Just curious: multiboot, is that the setenv commands you mean by that?

if you got e2 in flash, yes you can re flash back to a normal DGS based image.

the multiboot file contains the setenv commands to enable various boot options

Tried that but no joy!

You need to press 3 on the remote while booting to change to a dgs based image.

If you continue to have problems
then flash an original full DGS image such as 7043 or 7473 (32MB) and then one from NLB or SIF

Newcamd.list is needed for mgcmand. For all others you have to configure their *.cfg file which again is located in var/keys

Where can I get one of these two versions? accidentally deleted from the hard drive.
