Newbie need help plz !!!!

Dear all,

I'm all new in the IP9000HD world. I need some help for what will appear very basic to you.
How can I ftp my IP9000HD, it just doesn't connect thru ftp browser. My device is correctly connected, has a correct ip address, and preloaded cams work fine. But I need to work on the /var folder but just cannot find it.
For more info, I have a Pinacle IP9000HD box, I don't know which image is installed. Only the ver is 2.17

Thanks for your answers. But I have tried all the possible usernames and passwords, and it doesn't work. Is there a way to reset them without having to flash?

That's the problem, I have no idea what image is installed. When I boot my box, only the Pinacle logo appears on screen. I just got my box last week, and the vendor gave me no info about it. All I can tell, is that it decrypts channels. If I flash it, i'm afraid to lose access to the servers. Is there a way to check the version of the image?

password could be one of these

sifteam

try changing from DHCP to static IP address and choose one that wont be causing a conflict, i had this with a friends phone taking same ip address as my box.

Thank you all for your help. Indeed, this is not the same hardware. This is a clone of another model, but I don't know which one. Honestly, i'm even surprised by the impressive capabilities of this box. If anyone has a clue on how to retrieve user/pw, he'll be welcome.
