Digiturk has launched a new Ultra HD/4k channel, called Digiturk UHD, on the Eutelsat 7B satellite, home to Digiturk’s pay-TV platform.

The free-to-air channel shows clips of Turkish language documentaries, as well as information about the Ultra HD/4k broadcast standard.

The first UHD broadcasts in Turkey took place almost two years ago, on April 2, 2013 at Digiturk’s headquarters in Besiktas, using content aired for the first time and transmitted via the Eutelsat 7A satellite.

The new channel can be received free-to-air on Eutelsat 7B at 7 degrees East, on a frequency of 10,762 GHz, pol. H, SR 30000, FEC 5/6, using DVB-S2/QPSK.
