Considering that over-precious moderation has removed a link to a more active UFS 910 forum than sleepy hollow here, I sugest you just do a google seach for those three key words. and the one you want will have ufs910 in its url.

Maybe you could wake up the sleepy hollow and write something to help the member that asked a question without breaking no link rule.

Anyway, there is enough info in this thread to help first timer load new image:

I could indeed; but why redo something already done over there?

And actually I hadn't posted a link but a crippled url. My reading is that isn't against the rules.

On the wider point, it really is a pity that we have to pretend not to be promiscuous; but in all honestly I'm a real slut - I go where ever the infomation is. And when I want to buy anything satellite oriented - I google, and sod any site's sponsors - unless they happen to be the cheapest.

Sat-site moderators must live in their own little universe thinking they can corale us all up in nice little tame purchasing groups. They wish!

you really should try allsats for crap moderation... if you think this forum is bad :nana:

Yes I noticed that! I don't go there for that very reason.

But in my experience they're all pretty much the same whichever censored moderates. All they need to do, so we can all play nicely, is stop spam and prevent users attacking each other. I suppose it must be a 'human nature' thing as many seem to get corrupted by the power they wield and can't resist the temptation to censor and ban. What's that quote, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutley"?

It's not only a problem with satellite sites either, but many other varying subject fora. A woodworking forum I know actually had a revolt. Most of their thinking membership started their own democratic forum on a freeboard and elected their own mods. It's going great now.

If you sign up at some site it should be implied that you agree to the rules. Of course you can break them once or twice but it will result in a warning, edited post or a ban.
I doubt you thought that adding a "_" in front of the url would make it OK.

And since we already had the subject covered in the url I posted above which I can only guess you were already aware of you had no reason to post url to another site at least not in this case.
And it is not first time you posted url to the same site.

We are glad to help other sites if they are starting up and need some promotion like in this thread:

No reciprocal link is required to be included there.

Most of the big boards have the same rule about no links and don't need our help. People can find them by googling or being referred by a friend.

And please restrain yourself from using profanities.
You're welcome to help people here if that is really what you want to do but within the rules of this site.

I did indeed! I thought the rules said no links and a hobbled url is not a link. That little trick is permissable with the mods on Satpimps - why not here? You know, you may find it counter intuitive, but just relaxing a bit and giving users more freedom to use your board in the way they want, may just increase its usefulness and eventual footfalls. This little corner of your site lies neglected for days on end. Whilst another board, with ufs910 in its url, and which recently celebrated its first anniversary, is alive and vibrant. Eat your heart out.
And please restrain yourself from using profanities.
I had to look up the meaning of profane to be sure.
1. Marked by contempt or irreverence for what is sacred.
2. Nonreligious in subject matter, form, or use; secular: sacred and profane music.
3. Not admitted into a body of secret knowledge or ritual; uninitiated.
4. Vulgar; coarse.

My, you are a prissy one aren't you?
