New channel for teenagers Yups is released in Peru and Ecuador
The company Media Networks -of Telefónica Group- has announced the launching of its new channel targeted to teenagers Yups through Movistar operators in Peru and CNT in Ecuador, whose DTH will be launched by the end of this month. Said countries will rely on the first Pay-TV systems in Latin America in offering this channel, which includes contents of the producing companies RGB Entertainment, Cris Morena Group y Utopía.
The new proposal – which stems from the strategic alliance between the Argentine producing company RGB Entertainment and Media Networks – will be initially available in Peru and Ecuador as from next November 21 and will start broadcasting 6-hour daily programming, to be later extended over the rest of Latin American countries, according to what Media Networks has disclosed through a press release.
The channel will rely on interaction with the online platform; there will be on demand contents and users will be able to see chapters of series through the web. According to what several Argentine media have informed, Darío Turovelzky, RGB Content Director, will be the programmer of the new channel. Casi Ángeles, Floricienta, Blef, El Internado, and Free Pass, will be some of the contents to be offered.
Likewise, Media networks has informed that the production and distribution of Yups stems from an agreement entered into between Media Networks and Media International Enterprises LLC.
