network configuration settings

hie can someone post step by step info on,how to configure vu+duo network settings , my vu+ is connected direct to my laptop with windows 7 software no router connected ,on network test i keep on getting unconfirmed ip and nameserver ,please can you post setting for the receiver and setting for the laptop thank

Hi mate

Ok if you go into network setting uncheck dchp and assign ur vu+ its own IP address 192.xxx.xxx.xxx subnet 255.255.255.0
Where you would put your network router IP input your PC IPand save. You may have to switch off from the rear for it to start working then test again

please can you post the settings on your receiver ,eg the ips nameserver and your pc ips i have tried but at times ip confirmed nameserver unconfirmed or vise versa

IP Address : 192.1XX.X.XXX ( Your Vu IP )
Netmask : 255.255.255.0 ( Same for everyone )
Gateway : 192.1XX.X.XXX ( This is your PC IP goes )
Primary DNS 192.1XX.X.XXX ( This is the same as your PC IP ) ( Hope i am right on this one )
Secondary DNS : 0.0.0.0
