NEED HELP FOR VLC TO WORK ON MY DB500S WITH PC

DEAR sirs,
i need someones help to get my dreambox 500s channels on my pc. i installed diffrent vlc but still there is no sound nor picture when i click on my WEB-X-TV. it shows the satelite and channels name with a blank screen.
everything were ok. untill i reinstalled my windows 7 and i have a GP image on my dreambox.
i tried to look all over this website and could not resolve this problem.
i will be most grateful if someone can help me in this matter.

I have the same problem as in the first post.

I think the guide covers streaming from a PC to the DM.

Our problem is streaming from the DM500S to a PC.
I am also using windows 7, a DM500s, Gemini 4.7 and WEB-X-TV.
I have tried VLC 0.85 and 1.05. 1.05 does not work at all, 0.85 works but it is very unreliable. Most of the time I cant get it to work at all.

Is there a guide or information of setup that could solve these problems?

try dreambox manager suite i used to watch my 7020 on my pc with great results using that.

The above guide i linked to cover how to setup VLC for your web browser to work with using webxTV.

Ive always found webxTV hit and miss some image work well some dont.

I always streamed to WMP like this see attached file for editing.

Window Media Player Streaming

Included in the rar is a file named dreambox.wpl extract this to you desktop.Right click it and open it with wordpad.

Edit this line with your Dreambox IP and password

<media src="bcmsdb://root:[email protected]"/>

Google and find bitcontrol Mpeg-2 codec and install them on you PC and reboot.

Now just double click the dreambox.wpl file and Media player will start streaming what your watching.

Note from memory it did not work with all images but it so long since i messed with a 500 i forgot which ones.

thanks for your replay.
idid it as you said. now its streaming some channels, but most of the channels is a blank page with no sound nor picture.
i noticed that opens just a few channels. any help, please to fix this problem

Hi mate

Maybe this is now a PC problem i have no issues streaming with the above file and codec.

I not sure why it can stream some and not others that does not make sense. Reboot your router and Dreambox and try again.
