Multimedia boosts online TV/VOD offer

The Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska is now offering 29 channels on its internet-delivered TV service mmTV.pl.
The service, which was launched in March last year, also includes nearly 1,000 movies on demand and is available to all Multimedia Polska customers irrespective of the package they subscribe to.
It employs SmoothStreaming technology and allows for the reception of channels in real time.
Multimedia Polska currently has 400,000 internet subscribers and offers access at up to 100 Mbps.
However, receiving mmTV.pl requires download speeds of only 2 Mbps.
