Motorised dish

I have finally got my motor to work but the dish moves fine and I can get 13.0 19.2 23.3 28.2 but that is all when trying other sats it does not find any channels.

Any ideas?

Is your pole aligned verically?
Is your "zero" point at the highest popint of the arc?
Are angles correct?

The pole is vertical.

Sorry I am a bit new to motorised dishes so am unsure what you mean about Is your "zero" point at the highest point of the arc? would you mind explaining a bit what this means.

If you mean the angles on the motor that is correct my latitude is 52.8 so I set the motor latitude to 53

Dont know where you are in the world but if in UK and your dish is tracking the sats listed, 13 - 28 chances are it is aligned. if not able to get channels, have you enabled the satellites you want from the searching menu ? unless enabled your dreambox wont know they are there. if they are not in the list, download a new sat.xml file from this board

I am in the east midlands I think that it must be an alignment issue as when it snowed yesterday the signal went off but on my mini sky dish it still had a signal. also on the motorised dish the signal strength is much lower than my mini dish.

Do a realignment when you can and see if it helps your problem, there are guides on the site if you need them.
