More music for Romania

08.44 Europe/London, September 19, 2011 By Chris Dziadul

Mezzo Live HD has been officially launched in Romania.
Quoted by Mediafax, Christophe Winkel, the director of Mezzo, said that the channel would initially be distributed by Romtelecom’s Dolce platform.
Its sister channel Mezzo, which has already been present in Romania for 10 years, is currently available to around 700,000 subscribers via UPC, RCS&RDS, Dolce, Telemach and Ines.
Both channels owned by the Lagardère group (60%) and France Télévisions (40%).
Separately, RCS&RDS plans to launch a new musical named H!T Music Channel in conjunction with a company named Societatea Music Channel SRL.
Although the two parties failed last week to secure a licence from the National Audiovisual Council (CNA), the regulator will discuss their application again at a future meeting
