The Slovak commercial broadcaster TV Joj plans to launch two HD channels this autumn.
Quoted by Parabola, its MD Frantisek Borovsky said the two channels – Joj HD and Joj Plus HD – would offer the same content as Joj and Joj Plus, the broadcaster’s two current SD channels.
CME-owned Markiza TV, TV Joj’s main commercial competitor, has operated a HD channel named Markiza HD since 2009.
TV Joj was launched in 2002 and is backed by J&T Media Enterprises.
