Not looking promising, the manual says don't forget password as no access to installer menu without, I'll keep checking

Mal,
Ok, I found a solution for you.
You will need to download the STBUpgrade package, which can be found at h**p://jvk-web.iespana.es/u/index.php?action=downloadfile&filename=BIGSAT-S100_XSPEED_X-25Apr2007.rar&directory=bigsat&
Once you have this, you will need a serial cable to connect to your pc, run the software and follow these steps (the program is in spanish I am afraid)
1. select "Cagar" and browse for the .bin file that was with the STBUgrade program
2. Connect STB to PC with serial cable
3. Select "Download"
4. Select "Conectar"
5. Quickly unplug and reconnect the power to the STB (this initiates the connection) if you are too slow the program will timeout and you will need to go back to step 4. If you are successful then the reflashing will start and an blue bar will run up the right hand side of the window.
6. Wait for STB to reboot
You will lose all Program setups!
