M6 launches second screen

French private broadcaster M6 is launching a new second screen application called Devant ma TV (in front of my TV).
Available first on iPhone and Ipad, later to be followed by Android and Xbox, the second screen synschronises with the running TV programme allowing for additional information and using social TV (Facebook and Twitter).
The service will become available on all channels from the M6 group, M6, W9, Paris Première and Téva.
The broadcaster also hopes to exploit the commercial opportunities of a second screen in order to increase its revenue.
