lnb out question

i have a single lnb cable going into my sat/box now can iuse the lnb out on it meaning put it in the back of my tv that has freesat built in

yes, but when the STB is turned on, the main control is in its hands. That means if U are watching Polarisation H, high range (ex 12700 H ...) , in your TV U can lock only Channels High range pol H, not low range pol H and the whole pol V and so on...
If the STB is turned off, the TV has the main control of your LNB and switches...
My advice: TWIN LNB, 2 cables, TV and STB have both full control
