l need help mate's 23/09/07

l have an old toshiba laptop and my son is learning a bit on computers
and he pulled out the memory for about 2 minutes now when l switch it on
nothing comes acept for one page saying :mecry:


invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and then press any key


how can l bring it back to what it was your help is much appreciated guys

You should check if your hard drive is connected well. That message means that it can't find operating system.
You should also check in bios setting what is set as primary boot device.

A disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart


l have tryed pressing those 3 buttons togheter it restart but those words keep coming back what do l do next thank you very much appreciated

Well if your disk is indeed damaged somehow you can try changing boot device to CD-rom and then booting OS from CD and formatting hard disk and installing OS. If that doesn't help I guess you'll have to get another hard disk.
