KPN to launch DVB-H during Summer Olympics
Dutch operator KPN said it will launch its DVB-H service in The Netherlands during the 2003 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The new service will use the infrastrcture of KPN’s Digitenne DTT service. No details about packages, subscription plans and services have been released.
Through it’s Digitenne subsidiary KPN is the sole license holder for DVB-H transmissions in The Netherlands. It is expected the company has to sublicense its mobile TV product to other mobile operators in the country, Vodafone, T-Mobile and Orange.
