Italy : TiVu launches Next Month

Tivù Sat, Italy's Freeview service is due to launch next month. The new service is a joint venture between RAI (48%), Mediaset (48%) and Telecom Italia Media (4%) who will most probably not renew their distribution contact via Italy's pay Tv operator SKY Italia.
A satellite decoder equipped with a Nagravision smart card will be required To receive the channels of the new service. Smart cards will also be available separately for a small charge. These cards will not carry an expiry date.
