IPTV sets the pace in Croatia

Croatia ended the third quarter with 355,869 IPTV subscribers, according to the latest data on the country’s electronic communications market published by the regulator HAKOM.

This represented an increase of 0.91% on the previous month and 1.93% on a year earlier.

Much stronger growth was seen in the take-up of DTH, with the 102,763 taking services being 5.26% up on three months earlier and 20.93% more than in Q3 2011. On the other hand, the number of cable subscribers was, at 144,608, 0.60% down q-o-q and only 0.12% higher than a year earlier.

There were also falls in the take-up of DTT services, with the 892,468 homes receiving services being 0.8% and 2.69% lower than three and 12 months earlier respectively.

The total income from TV services in Q3 amounted to HRK115,984,696 (€15,362,500), or 3.25% and 11.93% more than three and 12 months earlier.
