iPlayer ranked top UK brand

The BBC iPlayer is currently the UK's best-regarded brand
The BBC’s online video service iPlayer has come top of the mid-year rankings of UK brands with the most positive buzz, as compiled by UK pollsters YouGov.
The iPlayer overtook online retailer Amazon and bricks and mortar retailer Marks & Spencer to come top of the YouGov BrandIndex’s Buzz score, which asked respondents: “If you’ve heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”.
The BBC’s online video service is described as having been praised by those polled for its positive and engaging user experience.
A number of enhancements have been made to the iPlayer in recent months, including the addition of non-BBC content and the introduction of ‘Live Restart’ capabilities, which enable a viewer to go back to the start of a live stream (details here).
Other tech brands in the top ten include Amazon at number two (formerly #1), Apple at number six, Samsung at number nine and Google at number ten.
