I tried to flash my Ipbox 9000 HD but all I got is a stuck "Tideglo" on the receiver and on TV I got "SNR N/A; BER N/A" Those kinds of bolts keep rolling on the left upper side of the screen.

I tried everything I can imagine but with no success. Please do help me to revive this box which has cost me a fortune!

Thanks in advance,

Can you access menu via remote -if not reflash box with your E2 flash image for IpBox 9000HD

If so select set up, service searching, tuner configuartion which should display 'Reception details menu'

change config mode by pressing right/left keys on remote to select the mode that suits your needs

Select simple if you only have dish pointed at one sat, scroll down to sat & select which sat you want

Also under menu, select system, customize, change enable multiple bouquets to yes-ok -this allows you to use a settings package with all channels included to save you time on scanning sats etc

Thanks for your reply but I can't access the menu with remote and I tried the following in vain to reflash the box:
a) by usb cable (does not recognize the cable, it shows Er 10)
b) by serial cable ( I got garbish characters)
c) usb stick
d) dcc
e) flashtools
f) pceditor, etc...

I am really stuck and have no other ideas.

When you press ok & power button you should get 'booting'message -then as you hold your finger on power button should read 'usb upgrade'

Are you getting this?

With usb lead connected to pc & flashtools program open -select USB mode

At bottom of screen it should say waiting then usb connected

Click on file then locate your unzipped flash image -which should have file called usb_update.img

Select open

Message says usb upgrade image is selected -Then click on DOWN

Old flash image is erased & new image is written to box

Message on front of box says DONE

Press ok & power button together & reboot box

If E2 installed should say loading MODU & Tideglo:thum:

Use a printer to pc usb lead to connect box to pc

Hello Catseye,

I did get the first part (booting, usb upgrade)but as soon as lift my finger from the power button, I get this terrible "ER 10" message. I have two printer to pc cables and both of them are giving the same error. I don't know what I've missed but it just doesn't work!

Just to ask a daft question but remember its the square shaped end that connects to your box & rectangle end to pc

How long have you have your box & was it from new?

Have you flashed box before with out any errors?

Thanks a lot Catseye. The flashing went fine and the system is up and running. The problem was that I was pushing the power button too hard!

The box is a second-hand one but quite new as it was never used before. The former owner was playing a lot with it and it got stuck, then he sold it to me as is.

I have flashed dreamboxes many times without any problem. I am using a DM7020 right now.

Thanks again and keep up the good job you're doing!:thum:
