I Need Help (SIFTeam Extreme Enigma2)

Hello Everyone,
I had my Cuberevo HD for 2 weeks now, and I became totally desperate.

Since I tried to work with the sharing thing, I started flashing a different image every day!

I tried all latest Enigma2 (PKT, Nightly Build, Extreme and SWF)
the only one that seemed to be easy to upgrade and with installing plugins was the extreme. although it's like the others has the (read-only file system) issue

I stayed with extreme for 3 days now (a long time for me :thum: )
and I installed an emupack containing:
mbox emulator 0.6b
mgcamd emulator 1.33
incubusCamd emulator 0.95

modified:
/var/keys/incubusCamd.conf
added my server line under the servers part. and started the emu.

now sharing finally started to work, but it's like hell.
a scrambled channel takes 30 seconds to open, and it doesn's stay like this for long, I sometimes need to restart the emu to have my channel back, and sometimes need to restart the box.

(same account worked very well on DM800HD)

is there something wrong in the configuration?
is there something wrong with Emu? or the image itself?
I feel I messed up something while flashing that frequently.

Incubuscamd is very buggy if you are using it as cccam client..

However there is a new emu called Oscam..

Its as stable as cccam on the dreambox and can also be used as a server..
VizCam is also a stable emu and is based on oscam source..

If you need help getting vizcam/oscam running let me know.
its a little hard to get it going but once its working its really stable...

yes please if you know what is the latest version of oscam, and where to download, how to install and how to configure. please send me some URLs :thum:

are you sure that this is not related to the image of firmware (Enigma2 Extreme)? because I am noticing some issues.

same behavior where when I used mgcamd emu for cccam account.

I changed the root password for the first image, since then any image I flash is by default has my own password, so i think reflashing is not erasing everything and this might be a problem, am I right? if yes how to erase everything and start from zero again?

Hi M8, if you don't get what you want with an E2 image let me know. I would recommend using a DGS image in flash - one of the Sifteam DGS images but it depends what you want to do. I use me Cuberevo 9000 fixed on 28,2E using Mgcamd. So if thats what you want I can guide you through it from start to finish

Here is Vizcam Setup for Sky uk
vizcam-sh4-linux is the file you need for Enigma2 images..
Remember to chmod the file to 755..
The sifteam Elite Image may have problems starting the emu!
If you cant get the emu to start let me know i can show you how to fix this..
I would recommend upgrading your image to something newer...
the latest aaf image is good and stable..


If you are using any other provider then you can edit 0963 with your own configs!!!
add your cccam server to the

Its already setup for sly uk so if your using this then all is ok Just add your server info and away you go....

I started to be confused here.
Ok M8s, let's say I will replace my image with a new one, don't you think that when each time I flash a new image, the new one keeps the root password of the old one, is a bad sign? if yes how to solve this first.
secondly, don't you think that each time I flash a new image, I find two file systems are (Read-Only) (as a result for #mount) is a bad sign also? if yes how to solve this.

and after I solve all these issues (if they were problems), which image should I use? and which emu should I use?

AAF, SifTeam DGS, Enigma2 (sifteam, PKT,...)
oscam, vizcam,...

i want to stop trial-and-error method as it looks like it's not a good way :p

That is strange...
All your settings should be reset after a flash image...

are you sure you ain't reapplying a backup thats got the settings on it?

Also i wonder if it could be because its e2 flash images.

Try flashing a dgs image then the e2 image you want...this may fix your problem...
with you seeing write proteced mount'S you will always get some of the image as read only as it reads some parts of your image that cant be written to this happens with all boxes..
If you have problems with like /var is protected then it sounds like you have a problem with your box as this should not be proteced.
again try flashing a DGS image before the e2 image..
And remember E2 are larger than dgs and when using flash version's wont be able to install that much addons/skins..
thats why most people use the Usb/Hdd versions

ok, now I installed an official DGS image
and root password has changer
but this is the result of mount command:

another thing,
now on official DGS image, I can not view any channel !!!!

I adjusted the antenna to fixed, selected NileSat (7.0W) and started searching, it finds everything.

but after that when I select a channel to view, nothing, black screen, info bar shows no signal

installed (Oscam+mgcamd) from GUI.

configured the file oscam.server
like this:

but nothing else, is this correct?

I have some channels are working and others are not.

I dont have any experance wiith NileSat.
Make sure you have the correct caid setup in all configs.. also check your dvbapi in the main config and make sure its like below just edit 0963 with your own caid..

after you enable webif you can acsess your oscam page my going to
box-ip:8888
is your browser..

Just a big thank you to jamie for this. After days of messing about with old sif images and mgcam and loads of other options i put on the latest sifteam image and installed Oscam and with Jamie's guide this worked brilliant for me connecting to cccam 214 server, and it does seem rock solid.
Maybe next i will try Vizcam to test it, AFTER backing up my image.

Im still new to this but here goes,
There should be 2 files "post_install_sifteam.sh" and the tar.gz file, ftp both into var\tmp and then press green,red,yellow on your remote to manually install cam, when done green,blue to set as default cam.

I stand to be corrected on this.
Hope it helps and dont ask me any hard questions cos I havent a clue.

Or you could cheat and modify the address in var/etc/SifTeam/tmp/url2 to
h*t*t*p*://mypanel.site90.net/DGS/ALL-ADDONS/ and then press green,red,zero and install from there.
