I can not install OE2.0 image on DM800 HD original

Hello, I can not install any OE2.0 images (like OpenPli, TSimage)on my DM 800 HD PVR original. After finishing loading memory of the box via RS232 port (with the help of DreamUp)with the image flashing does not starts at all from its memory. That is why that I have an old bootloader a version of 76 or why?

Hello to all, my problem is that I can not flash any image of version OE2.0 on my DM 800 HD PVR original with Gemini 5.1(OE1.6) and with bootloader v. 76. I tried to upgrade to second stagebootloader ssl v. 84 and it seems it has successeded. After that I was trying to install image (OpenPli2.1 and TSimage3.0) but after uploading to the box the flashing from its memory did not start.

When you put the box in flash mode does the firmware upgrade page state your on a 84 ssl

Thanks Ferret, I use to flash firmware with the DreamUP V1.3.3.7 via RS232 interface (because my computer with com port is not visible in LAN network so I can not use LAN to upload the firmware). To tell the truth I am not sure if I have upgraded my bootloader to ssl 84 from v. 76 because when I use telnet command ipkg list | grep secondstage it does not return any result?! Other way how to find out a version of my bootloader I do not know. But when I tried to upgrade bootloader so everything in DreamUP software looked well unlike from upgrading a new firmware???!!! Where is the problem?

If your using telnet then you must have a network connection so why can you not flash by browser ?

I still have bootloader v.76 not ssl84. Please can you describe me how manually to install the bootloader? I tried the command
opkg -force-reinstall install secondstage-dm800-84.nfi but it was not successfull. Is that command correct and where should be file of bootloadr located? In /tmp/ or where else?

The nfi file is for flashing via webrowser as you would an image. You say you can not do this but yet you can telnet i find this strange.

What you need to use is an ipk file if your image still boots then you install it like any other pluging with the software manager.

Hello, I tried to install a newer bootloader (*.nfi)before via browser but without success. Now I tried to install bootloader "dreambox-secondstage_84-r0_dm800.ipk" via telnet but it returned the following errors:

root@dm800:~# opkg -force-overwrite install /tmp/*.ipk
Upgrading dreambox-secondstage on root from 76-r0 to 84-r0...
Collected errors:
* pkg_get_installed_files: fopen(//usr/lib/opkg/info/enigma2-plugin-extensions
tsmedia-oe1.6.list): No such file or directory
* ERROR: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for dreambox-secondstage:
* dreambox-bootlogo (>= 7.0)*

* Cannot find package dreambox-secondstage

the best way to upgrade your box is through the web & when you do upgrade the bootloader do not reboot flash your image with the new bootloader than reboot & it will work if you use the rs 232 use the bin file.any way the best & quick way to flash the dm 800 is the web I E OR firefox i use both.

Flash 84ssl first for original box
Dont reboot
Flash oe2.0 image(openpli2.1 is not oe2.0)
Don't reboot
Flash 84ssl again
Reboot
Don't use 84Dssl...you end up with no ca found Error.
