Antenna Hungária and Hungary’s National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH) have amended contacts on the operation of DTT and digital radio concessions that they had previously signed in September 2008.

The new agreements between the two parties will allow Antenna Hungária to use the second ‘B’ multiplex, hitherto employed for DVB-H, for DTT services.

Furthermore, the two parties have agreed to work closely on the termination of analogue TV services.

Antenna Hungária, which is backed by France’s TDF, operates the DTT service MinDig TV, which has a paid element named MinDig TV Extra.

Hungary is now expected to complete the transition to digital broadcasting in October 2012.
