Humax takes YouView to IBC

IBC 2012 – AMSTERDAM. Humax, which recently revealed the first YouView PVR, is taking its prize to IBC in Amsterdam.
The manufacturer will also showcase Freesat and Android IPTV devices.
The next generation Freesat box runs in part on HbbTV, the European hybrid format some would like to see popularised throughout the UK.
An Android- based, pure IPTV box for over-the-top content will also be unveiled, alongside a new home media server with multi-tuners that supports content sharing on tablets, smartphone and other set-top boxes.
Humax is also a leading supplier of set-tops for European DTT and cable markets.
Throughout IBC 2012, the high-spec, multi-room Humax stand will house the full range of Humax high definition, IPTV and hybrid boxes for cable, satellite and terrestrial TV services for the European market, with senior representatives from Humax on hand for one-on-one meetings and demonstrations.
