Hello everybody,

Hello everybody,

I'm new on c/s and would be very gratefull if someone could say me what I need for hardware and software to move from my TM 6900HD super with a fixed 80cm dish pointed to Astra and Hotbird and how move to a Spiderbox.

I don't know anything about c/s but it seems to be a wonderful solution.

Where can I find all this information?

hi,
if you´re really interested in a spiderbox then google "spiderbox forum" (with the quotes) and choose the one with .tv at the end. you´ll find all the info you need there.
the gift on the spiderbox is not actually c/s but similar to the cheopscamd on the azbox. the latest firmware for the spiderbox does allow the box to be set up as a server - before it was only a client.
it´s a great box, easy to set up and a good introduction to things the technomate was not possible of doing.

I'll go to the Spiderbox forum like you advice me.
Do you think it were possible to have many more channels with the gift of the spiderbox without c/s than with my TM6900 ? Do I need something else as hardware than my fixed dish pointed to astra and hotbird ?

mate get motor then you will have so many channel i have no time for all of them to watch

Does the spiderbox requires a network connection or does the gift offered with the box gives all the channels without computer and router ?
I don't know anything about this system.

if you want get all of them yes you need be connected to network all the time
if you don't want be on network then you will get Nova Cy,Bulasatcom,C+dgital Patch :thum:

benkurd is right, if you want to make the most of the spiderbox then a motorized system is the best. however, even if you keep your current setup you´ll still have a lot of channels open.

Thank you quanwen,

I'll be looking for this wonderfull decoder with the network connected. This last feature is the most difficult for me because the tv/decoder are far away from my computer. I have to make some arrangements.

If I only have a fixed dish oriented to 19.2E and 13E (Astra and Hotbird) will I have many channels more even if not the entire list like The Gold wrote here ?
