How to Upgrade from E1 to E2 - DM7020

Hi

How to properly upgrde? I ve tried Gemini2 44 for dm7020 by using flashwizard pro but it wont boot - just starts screen and freezes on "Loading Enigma ..."

Is there anything special I shall do for this upgrade?

I did not used option of smart transfer settings from current image...

I ve failed to find any instructions for upgrade yet alsmost all are saying it is fine and smooth on dm7020

What do I make wrong?

please help

Flashing some images over others with Flashwizard can cause all sort of trouble.

Now that your DM jas frooze you'll need to reflash the E2 image with Dreamup using a null modem cable.

In it's present state i would say the network side will not load meaning you'll not be able to use flashwizard.

I mean I have E1 4.6 still working fine on USB

and I can load both original and USB images from multiboot - I only cannot load E2 image which is frozing

I even re-done it by deleting E2 and re-installing but still both E1 on usb and original on flash are booting fine while E2 does not boot - it freezes on "Loading enigma screen"


First it starts some flash showing two gears runing, then it says loading initial settigs and then says:

Loading Enigma

and

freezes

After on/off bootloader works fine but only with other two I already have had.


I even unplug it from power but it did not help

After switching off and on again only E1 from usb and original from flash are working but E2 is not

Flashwizard as far as i remember does not support E2.

The E2 image needs to go in the flash so unless im wrong regarding Flashwizard support E2 youll need to use DreamUP.

Here is what the info text for Gemini E2 says

Please do not use external programs such as Flash Flash Wizard to use, always on the WebIf go in the boot loader.
No multi-boot, which makes us an error determination is not just easier.

Anyhow how can I load it by using dreamup and nullmodem cable adn also keep all multiboots as is

I did succeed to make multiboot and upgrade to E2 with still having E1 using BA
G2 E2 4.40 works really good.

I miss neutrino style remote and thee is no YPbPr composite output option (unfortunately in settings)

Works smooth.

Do you know how to make YPbPr output as available option in A/V settings. I can see only RGB.CVBS,S-video
