how to install cam merlin oe2.0

There is a Merlin Camfeed for OE2.0. Look for "EMU packs for Images" here in this forum. There you will find. If you install it, you can download and install emus in Merlin.

If you can not install Camfeed, here is another way:
In the Merlin-Image the needed files are in:
/usr/bin/cam (.mips)
/usr/keys (mg_cfg and key-files)
/usr/script/cam (.sh)
Put them there with dcc (FTP), restart and you should find.

you have to edit name of plugin and add -nf before .ipk
Tested working by me now cams showing in add ons

You are right. There is another achitecture for DM800. It should also work to install mips32el-plugins, if you write in
/etc/opkk/arch.conf an additional line:
arch mips32el 16

Correct! After renaming the IPK to Merlin2-cam-feed_1.0r2_mips32el-nf.ipk
installation by telnet:

root@dm800:/# opkg install /tmp/merlin2-cam-feed_1.0-r2_mips32el-nf.ipk   
Installing merlin2-cam-feed (1.0-r2) to root...

For the life of me i can't get this to work

Just add to /tmp? nothing would show in menu's
