How to fix BCM4505 signal quality?

Hello!

I have a DM800SE with tuner BCM4505 and also a DM800HD with BSBE2 rev.M.

The DM800HD with tuner BSBE2 rev.M has about 20% better signal quality.


Do you guys know how to fix BCM4505 to get same sensitivity and signal quality? Maybe new driver? No solution?

Rev m has always been the better tuner but im shocked the 4505 is so much worse.

Sorry I don't think there is a way around this.

grrr frustating i got the bad one when ordering. I got my DM800SE just 3 days ago.

Also i dont understand why the BSM450S is more expensive in China.

Scam tactic? "europe guys buy expensive they think its better" haha

Is it possible to just change the tuner without re-flash of image?

Most of the time you can change the tuner without reflashing.
Other times you need to reflash (in my case anyway.
Try it and see, you can always put the old tuner back.

My M tuner on DM800 is giving better colour quality than the BSM tuner.
However the BSM is a bit more sensetive for weaker transponders.
