how to clone a DM800 clone (full backup, image, flash expander)

Hi,
i would like to clone a DM800 clone box (which runs fine) to another DM800 clone box.

The source DM800 is based on the the following image
newnigma2_black_II_eB-sim2-dm800_v4.0.12
(NN2, SIM2.01, SSL#84) and is using the flash expander of that image.

This topic has been discussed on several (older) threads, but I'm confused how to deal with OE2 and the flash expander.
I'm reading different things about dflash, FlashBackup, MultiMiniBoot ...

dflash should make the backup image for you.

Flash expander is used more and more now to allow plugins to be installed or moved to an external usb mainly because oe2.0 images are now so big there is not much of the flash memory left after flashing.
