How do you add a new satellite?

Hi, just got a dm 500 and I want to scan a satellite that is not on the drop down list. Anyone know how I go about it?

go to http://satellites-xml.eu/,
select your satellites,
download xml,
push it via ftp/dcc to /var/etc,
set chmod 644 &
restart your box,
that's it

If you install a ready made channels list the sat xml file will be there already . Just restart enigma once the new list is loaded & go to sat configuration & your new sats will show up .

I still cant do it because I thought I had put in 9e but it keeps scanning for 0.9e I tried putting in 90 e but it obviously scans for ninety east. I cant see how to put in decimal point. Also I tried to go to the link to put in ready made list but I could not get it on to my winrar program it says 'unrecognised or damaged file' HELP PLEASE
