Help with updateing darkstar II sat xml

Can some nice person please point me in the right direction to update the amazing darkstar II image. the problem I have when I scan 28.2E I only get 564 channels same image on a 600 did the same but I updated the satellite.xml file and I now get 1049 channels were is the satellite info hidden on a 500 please. Thanks in advance to this brilliant forum.

The sat.xml is in var/etc on the 500 mate!

Transfer a new sat.xlm there and youll be sorted :thum:

is the correct spelling sat.xml or satellite.xml as i have droped my updated satellites.xml in var/etc and still no change in the numbers sorry for looking thick but i iz trying my best

It satellite.xml mate im just lazy lol.

Did you reboot after the transfer of the file?

Well I will defo give it a try again m8. I cant do it this minute as the grand kids are down and all hell will break loose if i turn the tv over to test it m8. will let you know tomoz on how stupid i am ok.

You were all right I had forgot to reset the box before the scan.

It's a good tip to remember. After any changes do a restart for Enigma to save or use new files.
