help with the flashexpander

can anyone help me how to use flashexpander.
ive got DB800HD-se-e-star with blackhole image.

I wont to use usb sticker as my memory is full.

what I need to know after sending flashexpander to the var/temp... what do I have to do. as I look at this site some saying to use telnet then from the box. but nothing explaining how to do it??

can anyone tell me in details how to do it step by step. as at telnet asks different things as well as the box. I already damage it on usb siticker as I did it formatting in different ways and I bought a new memory but do not wont to use it untel I get some help from you friends.

Hi mate

Try install it with the images file manager

Press the Green Button then yellow button and choose manual install.

Obviously make sure your usb stick is mounted.

One other thing flash expander does not work with all images. No ideqa if it will work with that blackhole version.

It works perfect with BH1.7.4 dm800
make sure you remove all unessential plugins first, and that the USB is mounted !!!
then install, and run (not you, the plugin)
your entire root will be COPIED TO USB( HENCE make it as light as possible),as ow after installation is complete, any new addition, skins, plugins etc will go to USB only... :nana:

i am using blackhole v.02r.3.2.3, if not which image is better to use with the USB memory.
:clapping:but still is not clear to me how?
USB-mounted from box or where from ( HB Device Manager),but it says I have to instal first and to do partitioner, 1, 2, 3 etc... then mounting.
could you give more details please

Mentioned above mate its working with 1.7.4

I DID US YOU SAID WHAT TO DO BUT IT IS NOT WORKING MY INTER MEMORY IS THE SAME 6mb. MY USB FLASH 16gb IS NOT THERE.
ANY HELP PLEASE

Can you not Read English???
1. insert the usb in usb hole in back of your receiver
2. Go to device manager.. format the usb, Reboot the receiver
3. Once reciever is restarted, Go again to device manager, and now MOUNT USB AS MEDIA/USB.... REBOOT AGAIN
4. GO TO FLASHEXPANDER IN PLUGINS MENU.. OPEN IT AND CHOOSE USB TO INSTALL flashexpander on it..
5. When fininshed reboot.
6. THAT'S IT

What image do you use.? Where did you get flashexpander from? Did you actually try to install it?
Open dcc, go to usr/lib/enigma2/python/extensions... Do you see flashexpander folder or not.?

thank you very much for replay. I totally lost my hope after I did what you ask it for and results were Nile.

I use Blackhole 3.2.3.

I did the following things as you told me.
I opened the BH Device Manager
1. Intilaztion for partitioner- ONE PATITION-EXT3(I don’t know which one is better) restart.
2. Mounting-mount as/media/usb. There is Fixed and Fast Mount. I did it with Fixed mount, then restart.
3. I downloaded flashexpander_0.33-r0_all.ra, from this site and send it to the usr/lib/enigma/python/plag/extensions---then I added the flashexpander_0.33-r0_all.ra. the restarted the box. But there is no flashexpander inside the plagins at all. I tried couple time and nothing happening, even I think its 2nd. Usb sticker been damage it as I do not know how to do it.
I will be most gratefull if you could tell me exactly what to do and my best regards to you and for your time.

You have to UNRAR the file before you send it to receiver. And where did you get this blackhole image from?

I know I unrar and send it to the usr/lib/enigma/python/plag/extensions.
I got the image from estar website.
even just now I flashed my image again with the same image and I did as you told me I make my usb 2-patirtion then restart then mount it usb/media fast mount-restart and send it expander---ipk.
restart. when I checked the palagin. nothing there.
even as a fresh image I flashed, there is no new or downloading plagins.

can you please, please tell me is it correct I make 2-patersion for my 16GB usb stick and mounted with the fix mount. or I don't wont you to give my any problem can you give full details as it is dives me crazy. even with the new image the problem is the same. can you let me know which kind mounting I should take it...

Use the folder that I sent you on mediafire. Unrar it and follow instructions aas above.
Is your image oe 1.6 or 2.0?
It does not matter how many usb partitions.
Send me A link for the image you use to test it.. I can not find
It on e star website
