help to recover box

For some reason my box doesnt seem to want to load.It comes up with the boot logo then it just does nothing .I tried another image which changes the boot logo but doesnt do anything when i press the remote.Can anyone advise me on how to sort this issue out please.Regards

Did you do a cfe/FPGA update since getting this box ?

No mate consider me as thick as i dont know anything about these boxes as yet .I know the power button thats as far as i know Thanks so whats next

Ok there is a FPGA update needed to run the later images, this can be done via an image in most case but your image wont boot.

Install Blackhole 2.0.6 and then run the update from there.

Then do this for the cfe

This update is needed to use the plugin "Wake on Lan" that will be available in the next Black Hole 2.0.5 version for Duo2.

Instructions:
1. Unzip the Duo2_CFE_V2.zip to USB stick.(cfe_cfe_auto.bin, cfe_cfe_auto.md5sum and cfe_cfe_auto.model should be at /vuplus/duo2 folder)
2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of Duo2 and turn the power on.
3. Press the front power button when Update message is shown.
5. It takes just a few seconds to update.
5. If Duo2 displays the message "Finished..reboot", remove the USB stick and restart the box.
5. To update image later, you should delete the all cfe_cfe_auto.* at /vuplus/duo2 in USB stick once CFE update is finished.

It would do it quick and on reboot show CFe v2 on the front display as it boots does it do that now ?

Im not with it at the moment as im at work but is that blackhole file a repairer and not a proper image? As the usb gave a blackhole logo image when it rebooted but did not install a working image .Cheers m8

CFe v2 is a Bootloader update to accept the loading of latest Images, Blackhole or others, you can load the latest images now.:thum:

my duo 2 stopped booting yesterday after I tried loading openvix Apollo.although it did not flash but only displayed cfe duo 2 v2.I waiting for 3 minutes and shut down via switch and restarted but loaded and stopped at double your expectation.I flashed with blackhole 2.07 and the flashing completed but still no display on tv and lcd display not coming on.I need help badly.bought box fro redapple digital store

Is it showing you the flash procedure on the front screen and asking you to press the button ?
