yea so i am resorting to putting the pole back into the ground again (the only place i can put the pole up is in the mud at the side of my grass) (and cementing it in the ground properly) hopefully when its cemented in it wont blow down or move in the wind, when i put my dish/motor back on it, fingers crossed then ill realign it again and hopefully i will be able to pick up all the satellites i want again, see my picture here for my current process of install the ground mount pole back in the ground here > ( ) < this is before i cement it in the ground, do u think it will be ok? once i have cemented it in the ground and moved the wooden stakes etc? just hope the cement goes rock hard before the weather changes here in my location (hopefully it stays sunny)Dan 0.8w is what we use as the reference satellite in the uk. If you took down your dish and motor guessing that would have been set at 0.8 before you took it down and then transferred it to the ground mount. If you put the motor on the pole and rotated the motor on the pole until you got thor this still may mean the pole is out slightly. 0.8w is the top of the arc for us.
++if your pole is even ever so slightly out you will pick up 0.8 but as you move the motor east or west it will miss those sats. Also if your ground mount is not sturdy it will miss those sats as the pole rocks left or right.+++
although now that the dish is still ground mounted im struggling to get 0.8w on my octagon sf8008 due to me resetting it to factory settings and it removed my long and lat (this sounds weird but it was slightly different to what it says on dishpointer, but cant remember what long and lat i put on there when i set it up as it worked), but when i added the long and lat from dishpointer the dish moves to 0.8w and then moves west again for some weird reason and i reset the motor and that long and lat doesnt work with it for some weird reason dont no why, wish i could remember what i set it to before the reset), gonna search my hdds to see if i have a screenshot of the settings from my sf8008, to see if i can realign it ready for adding dish to the pole
