Hello,
I take the chance to disappear from zero-poster list and tell you something about myself.
I am playing with pay-TV and all this emu-stuff since approx. 15 - 20 years now.
I had my 1st experience with pay-TV in times of multidec(not sure if this software still exixts).
I never developed myself, but was always one of the 1st users digging through internet to find appropriate tools, keys etc.
So I did my journey with dbox1, dbox2, dreambox, etc ad do have a good level of command-line oriented user-experience.
From time-to time I pay for pay-TV and after 2 years or so I cancel everything because of repetitive programs that are not worth the money I pay for.
So, for me it was never a question of money rather than just have something to play with.
I am currently using a server-client set-up in my home using DVB-link and sageTV with 4 DVB-S tuners as server with several laptops and hardware-clients. One Dreambox 500HD is still in the living-room. But thats only because of children (ease of use )
As DVB-link is providing good plug-in functionality it makes sense to investigate in testing vplug-compatibility :thum:
That´s why I found this forum might be useful.
So, last but not least, I am still below 40 and live in Germany.
happy to be part of this forum and looking forward to give some useful comments where appropriate
best wishes
Fredo
